FAQ

Application process questions, answered.

How do I apply for Singapore PR?

All Singapore PR applications are submitted online through the ICA e-Service using Singpass. You complete the application form, upload your supporting documents and photo, pay the S$100 fee, and submit. Family-sponsored applications are submitted by the citizen or PR sponsor.

How long does Singapore PR processing take?

ICA states that applications are processed within six months, provided all required documents are submitted and in order. Complex cases can take longer. You can check your status through the ICA e-Service or MyICA.

What happens after my Singapore PR application is approved?

You complete the formalities with ICA, which include paying S$20 for the Entry Permit, S$50 for a 5-year Re-Entry Permit, and S$50 for your Singapore Identity Card. The Re-Entry Permit is required to keep your PR status when travelling out of Singapore.

Can I submit a new PR application while one is still being processed?

No. ICA does not accept new or repeated applications for the same person while a current application is still in process.
