FAQ

Family PR application questions, answered.

Can I include my spouse and children in my Singapore PR application?

Yes. If you are applying as an Employment Pass or S Pass holder, you can include your spouse and unmarried children below 21 born within a legal marriage or legally adopted, as dependants in the same application.

Can my Singaporean or PR spouse sponsor my PR application?

Yes. The spouse of a Singapore citizen or PR can apply for PR with the citizen or PR spouse acting as sponsor. The sponsor logs in to the ICA e-Service with Singpass to submit the application.

Is it better to apply for PR alone or as a family?

It depends on your circumstances. A family application can show commitment to settling in Singapore, but it also means ICA assesses the whole family profile. There is no single right answer, which is why we review your family situation before recommending an approach.

What documents are needed for a family PR application?

In addition to the main applicant's documents, family applications typically require marriage certificates, children's birth certificates, custody or adoption documents where relevant, and the spouse's identity, education, and employment documents. Foreign-language documents need official English translations. See our documents checklist.
